Nintendo just dropped a new update for Super Mario Party Jamboree, so if you’re keeping track, we’re on version 2.1.0 now. Let’s jump into this—because really, why wait?
Okay, so first off, this update gets everything ready for the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Which is cool, I guess. Probably helps to fix a bunch of bugs too. They listed all that in these super detailed patch notes. But if you’re like me, you might just skim over those.
(I mean, can’t they just say, “Hey, we fixed stuff” and call it a day?)
But anyway, here are some highlights, I think:
For the Nintendo Switch 2 version:
-
Bug Fixes:
-
Apparently, there was this thing where if you stared at the Broozer Bash rules screen for too long, the game just kinda decided you were done? That’s sorted now.
-
Oh, and if you tried to skip videos at weird times in the studio? The game would freak out. Like, pause and wonder about the meaning of life or something. Fixed!
-
Cameras—those tricky things—caused issues if you plugged or unplugged them mid-game. I never even thought to do that but hey, now it won’t break stuff.
-
They also messed with the CPU movements in mouse mini-games. Not sure what that means but let’s roll with it.
- Online play had its own little gremlins too, which, big surprise, needed squashing.
-
And then when you’re playing on the regular ol’ Switch:
-
Bug Fixes:
-
Rhythm Kitchen in Free Play mode would just, like, stall out if you hit “Play Again.” Now it won’t! So cook away or whatever you do there.
-
Mario’s Rainbow Castle had an issue with a rogue CPU that decided it was just gonna do its own thing. It’s in line now.
-
Stamps during Mario Party? They were wildin’ under certain conditions. Calmed down now.
- Online bugs too, ‘cause who doesn’t love the challenge of playing online without technical hiccups?
-
And yeah, a bunch of other small stuff got tweaked. Not sure what exactly but the experience should be better, allegedly. Or at least that’s what they tell us.
So there you go—straight from the chaotic land of gaming updates. Now go play and see if you can find something they forgot to fix!
