Pneuma Games Group just threw a curveball, launching a fresh new setup called Cast Iron Games. Why? Well, it’s plonked right in the hustle-bustle of Tileyard North in Wakefield. They’re jumping into the whole triple-A co-development scene, plus games porting. Which, I guess, is a big deal? At the helm, you’ve got Arden Aspinall and Jon Seymour—names you might recognize if you follow this stuff. TickTock, Rebellion, Double Eleven… they’ve been around.
By the way, Cast Iron is kind of related to Double Eleven. Sister companies, like a weird family affair. Anyway, Aspinall is all about the metaphor — “Cast Iron,” as in, you know, tough, reliable, gets the job done. He’s all about emulating Lee’s leadership at Double Eleven, which apparently stands on solid principles. Sounds a tad corporate, right? But those principles? They’re supposedly the backbone of Cast Iron’s team spirit. Partnerships that last, yada yada.
And then there’s Seymour. He’s vibing on team environment — it’s all about surrounding yourself with talented people, which sounds cliché but maybe works. It’s their thing. Helps them nail those creative, bold visions clients bring in. Not gonna lie, it’s all a blend of corporate speak and genuine vibes. But honestly, who am I to say?
