The countdown is almost over for Age of Mythology: Retold fans! Announced with much fanfare at the Tokyo Game Show, the Immortal Pillars expansion is set to launch on March 4th, and pre-orders are live! You can expect a rich tapestry of new gameplay, featuring the Chinese pantheon, some gorgeous new maps, myth units, and plenty of other thrilling updates. This expansion is packed with content that’s sure to invigorate your gaming experience.

And here’s a little reminder: If you already own the Age of Mythology: Retold Premium Edition, the Immortal Pillars expansion is yours without any additional cost, ready for play from day one!

Exciting News: Age of Empires and Mythology Heading to PlayStation 5

I’m thrilled to announce another significant leap for our fans—Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Mythology: Retold are coming to PlayStation 5!

By enabling play across all platforms, we’re breaking barriers and uniting players. It’s about building a vibrant, interconnected community where players can strategize, wage war, and conquer on a global stage—all together!

For PlayStation 5 users, Age of Mythology: Retold will come alive on March 4, just in time to coincide with the release of the Immortal Pillars expansion. You’ll be able to dive into the myths, join new cultures, and explore fresh gameplay features alongside Xbox and PC players. Plus, those grabbing the Premium Edition can enjoy early access from February 27th, alongside a slew of other bonuses, including exclusive content for the Arena of the Gods mode.

And remember, starting March 4th, all updates will roll out simultaneously across all platforms—so whether you’re on Steam, Windows Store, Xbox, or PlayStation 5, you’ll never miss a beat.

As for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, it’s set to make its PlayStation debut this spring, along with an exhilarating new DLC expansion that promises to enrich the Age II: DE experience for everyone—across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5. Two New DLCs Set to Revolutionize Age IV in 2025

Big things are coming for Age of Empires IV players! We’ve been working hard to bring not one, but two new DLCs to the game in 2025. We’re diving deeper into concepts like variant civilizations, informed largely by your feedback. These variants highlight different strategic tactics and military forces, and we’re excited to introduce some fan favorites, alongside a large set of updated units and buildings to enhance gameplay.

We’re also moving towards creating unique game modes in these DLCs, designed for shorter, repeatable experiences—challenging you to refine your strategies and hone your skills.

The first DLC, Knights of Cross and Rose, is arriving this spring, bringing brand new gameplay to Age IV. Players will get to command historic armies and dive into a challenging solo mode designed for seasoned strategists. In just four short months, Age of Empires Mobile has captured the hearts of millions, drawing in a wave of new players to the franchise.
