Wow, so here’s the deal. Neat Corp, those folks behind the Budget Cuts games, right? Yeah, they’ve got this new VR gig coming out — it’s called Crossings. Total mayhem, Norse-style. You get to swing swords and cast spells, dealing with whatever the Norse afterlife throws at you. Honestly, sounds kinda wild.
Imagine this: a co-op roguelite thing, where the world shifts around like it’s trying to mess with you on purpose. One minute you’re hacking at a troll, next minute — bam! You’re dodging a Draugr. Ever felt like you’re strolling through afterlife madness with a buddy and neither of you can say a word to each other? It’s all about blocking, dodging, and striking while casting spells. A little chaotic, but hey, maybe that’s the point.
And each run? You’re getting better gear, more spells. Got all your Viking-age classics: swords, axes, and this thing called the ‘Tooth of Nör’. I mean, it sounds fierce, right? A melting pot of mythic creatures — trolls, ghosts, you name it. They just pop out of nowhere, like why are you here?
Neat Corp paints this picture, like waking up in some unknown place. You’re not quite alive, not quite dead, just… there. Reality’s all twisted, shifting, and apparently you’re gonna navigate through it by swinging swords and trusting silent strangers. Oh, and magic. Can’t forget the magic. Everything in your path is a decision, and every choice sticks with you like gum on a shoe.
No date on the release yet. They’re letting us wishlist it over at the Horizon Store and Steam. Oh, heads up: Between October 14th to 21st, there’s gonna be a demo during Steam Next Fest. Just a little taste, single-player style.
So yeah, seems like we’re in for a ride through Norse chaos. Who’s in?
