I just found out about this thing that happened with Supergiant Games, and honestly, I’m pretty stoked. So, they tossed out this major update for Hades 2 on Tuesday. Which makes me feel like they’re really gearing up for the v1.0 launch. Kind of a big deal, right?
They’re calling it The Unseen Update. I don’t know why that name sticks with me, but it does. Anyway, they’re all about beefing up the combat, throwing in new Guardian meet-ups, and making the character relationships more intense. Their blog has all these details about it. Not really into reading? I get it. Sometimes it’s more fun to listen to someone dramatic read it to you. That’s how it goes.
Oh, and get this — once this update’s out, they’re shifting gears towards finalizing the whole Hades 2 gig. They’re wrapping up with an ending and tacking on achievements. But hey, if you’re hoping for more chunks like new regions or abilities, consider those hopes dashed. They’re all about the bug fixes now.
Hades 2 hopped onto the scene in early access back in May 2024. Funny isn’t it? I can’t keep track of time anymore. Still no clue on the official release date, though. But man, Supergiant is as eager as we are to wrap things up. They wrote about how hyped they are to finish the game and give us the “complete experience.” Whatever that means, right?
For those of you wondering where you can play this nifty thing, it’s on Windows PC for early access. When the full game drops, it’s gonna be a timed exclusive on Nintendo Switch and its next-gen sibling. Here we go again with the console wars.
And yeah, just like those Olympic and Warsong updates, The Unseen Update won’t cost you a thing if you’re already diving into the early access. Can’t complain about free stuff, right?
There’s a whole list of what comes with the update, thanks to Supergiant. Maybe they’re trying to make Hades II even more mind-boggling than it already is. Or maybe, who knows, they just enjoy dropping surprises on us. Whatever the case, can’t wait to see where this goes!
