This year has been challenging for Rocksteady, the London-based studio famous for the Batman: Arkham series. They’ve been hard at work on Suicide Squad for years, their first big project since Batman: Arkham Knight hit the shelves back in 2015. However, fans were perplexed by their choice to take the game in the direction of a live-service, co-op shooter similar to Destiny. After some delays, when it finally launched in February 2024, the response was lukewarm, with poor sales and fewer players than expected. In fact, Warner Bros. Discovery disclosed a $200 million loss due to the game.
Still, Kill the Justice League isn’t without merit. It offers some interesting storytelling elements, making it worth a look, especially at such a low price point.
