Sure thing, I’ll give it a whirl:

Okay, so… big news day for all you League of Legends fans out there. Normally, patch updates mean new skins, right? But hold on to your gaming chairs—because patch 25.11 is stirring up some buzz for exactly the opposite reason. No new skins popping up on the PBE, folks. Seriously. It’s kind of a bummer but, well, there’s a valid reason—Riot’s really doubling down on reworking this Masque of the Black Rose series instead.
So, rewind to earlier this year. League wasn’t exactly glimmering with stellar skin releases, especially those that had us shelling out top dollar. Masque of the Black Rose? Yeah, it kind of flopped. Despite wicked splash art that had my eyes almost popping out of my head—Elise, Ezreal, Renata Glasc, Samira, Vladimir, and a blinged-out Prestige Katarina—it was a letdown once it hit the Rift. Felt like catfishing, almost, with designs that just didn’t live up to the hype (or price).
Anyway, 25.11 is on the way, bringing some new life to this skin line. Elise, Renata, Samira, Vlad, they’re getting a makeover, and you can sneak a peek on the PBE now. Side note—there’s this cool before-and-after vid from SkinSpotlights if you’re into that kind of stuff.
Riot spilled the beans in patch 25.10 notes, saying they paused on new skins to fix up the Black Rose ones. Makes sense, I guess. But no new skins in 25.11? That’s a lot to take in.
They mentioned an “upcoming window” too, which got me thinking—could we survive more patches without new skins? Double whammy, anyone? Nah, surely not. I mean, once is rare enough, right?
So, circle May 28 on your calendars for LoL patch 25.11’s official rollout. And hey, while waiting, maybe dive into the LoL Mythic Shop, or see which champs are ruling the meta on some tier lists.
