Nintendo Officially Confirms the Switch 2

Seems like Nintendo is playing it cool this time. They’ve just announced the Nintendo Switch 2, aiming for a 2025 release, and allowed it to slip into the public eye without much fanfare. Now let’s talk about the console itself. Not much left to surprise us after all those leaks on social media. The trailer showcases a bigger size, a sturdier support stand, and spends quite a bit of time focusing on the Joy-Con connectivity. Curious about the games making an appearance at these events? The trailer hints at a brand new Mario Kart. But don’t worry, the full lineup of games will likely be revealed during the April 2nd Nintendo Direct. If you’re planning to check out one of these events, double-check that your Nintendo account is active because you’ll need it.

Here’s something to keep your eye on: “Nintendo Switch 2 plays Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games, along with both physical and digital Nintendo Switch titles,” says Nintendo.
