Nintendo Releases for April 10, 2025 – Update

Well, after a week of absolute chaos, we’re back to what has become the all-too-familiar routine for the original Switch.

Catching up with what we overlooked last time: Namco’s Assault Plus has made its way to the Archives.

Reflecting on the events of the past week, it’s easily summed up with, “OK, so THAT happened.” The Switch 2 Direct kicked it off, followed by an absolute whirlwind, especially with the fallout from 20500. After all that, this week’s stack of eShop releases almost feels like a mellow return to normalcy. Despite this, there are a few standout titles that deserve some attention. Topping that list is Star Overdrive, which centers around thrilling hovercraft action. It was briefly featured in a Direct—wow, was that really only a week and a half ago? Feels more like a month! Another game to keep on your radar is Battlefield Waltz from Idea Factory/Otomate, handled in the U.S. by IFI. Before diving in, though, I’d hold off for any day-one patches. I know I’ll be doing just that.

Other notable mentions this week include the quirky "Promise Mascot Agency" and yet another title in the Snow Bros. series. And for those outside Japan, the charming throwback "EggConsole Pyramid Warp," a simple maze game from 1983, is ready for the taking.
