Argath… yeah, that guy. His dislike for folks without deep pockets? Wow, it’s crystal clear now. Anyway, this Sony State of Play thing happened, and — surprise! — some stuff was cooked up for the Switch crowd. No big shock, really.
Oh, right. Remember that leak about NVIDIA games? Turns out there’s a remastered version of Final Fantasy Tactics hitting shelves soon, like September 30 soon. Square Enix said it’ll be on both the current and upcoming Switch versions. Finally! The OG isometric tactical game from the Ivalice world gets to chill with Nintendo users. Took them long enough, right?
So, what else we got? Oh! Digital Eclipse is putting together this gnarly “kollection” of Mortal Kombat. Like, the first four games — we’re talking classics here, people — and the “Ultimate” version of 3, too. I think they said something about arcade and console versions. More games might sneak in later. Who knows?
Get this: there’s a new James Bond game, “007 First Light,” slated for 2026. Crazy, huh? It’s happening for Switch 2 — yeah, they mentioned it back in April. Seems like forever ago.
And, speaking of nostalgia trips, Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots drops on September 5. Pac-Man’s gonna swing clubs. Wrap your head around that!
Plus, the folks at The Game Kitchen and DotEmu are dropping Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound on July 31. They’ve roped in the legendary composers from the NES days. Keiji Yamagishi, Ryuichi Niita, and Kaori Nakabai? If that doesn’t scream epic, I don’t know what does.
