While the top spots on this week’s Xbox gameplay chart have remained steady, an interesting shift sees more players diving into Far Cry New Dawn achievements now that it’s made a return to Game Pass. With a slew of exciting Game Pass titles on the horizon, it’s safe to bet we’ll see new challengers in the top 40 soon.
Sniper Elite: Resistance, fresh off its Game Pass debut, is climbing the ranks, now sitting snugly in seventh place. If you’re undecided about giving it a shot, let me tell you, Sean’s been singing its praises in his latest review. Meanwhile, Halo Infinite is also gaining ground, making an impressive jump from 23rd to 17th following its recent update.
We can’t overlook Far Cry New Dawn, which has bounced back into the top 40, comfortably holding onto the 19th spot after re-emerging on Game Pass last week. On the flip side, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has taken a slight dip, sliding from 18th to 22nd. It’s undeniably a fantastic game, but with so many major titles hitting Game Pass soon, keeping up with multiple AAA games can be quite the task.
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black had previously surged up the charts thanks to a surprise Xbox release but has now tumbled from 11th to 24th. Similarly, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, another recent addition to Game Pass, has dropped to the 31st spot.
Returning to the list again this week, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II settles in at 33rd, and No Man’s Sky makes an appearance at 36th, likely due to their substantial updates luring players back. Meanwhile, Eternal Strands, though a recent day-one Game Pass release, has slipped from 19th to 38th, with Hell Let Loose rounding out the chart in 40th position.
It’s a bit surprising that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II hasn’t cracked the top 40 yet, especially given the anticipation surrounding this sequel. Perhaps its lengthy RPG nature is giving players pause since it isn’t on Game Pass, leading them to wait for when they can really immerse themselves. Looking forward, we’ve got some heavyweight Xbox exclusives like Avowed and other upcoming Game Pass additions. Which games do you think will break into the top ten next? Share your thoughts in the comments!
