Alright, I’m diving into nostalgia territory here – aka Nintendo’s epic music app. You can’t blame me for getting excited about this, right? I mean, who knew that these tunes could unleash a tidal wave of memories. Nearly 40 years worth of game soundtracks, all crammed into a smart device app. Mind-blowing, honestly. But first, you’ve gotta be part of the exclusive Nintendo Switch Online club. No pressure though, it’s just how they roll.
Remember those iconic Mario beats? Or the colossal, almost overwhelming music from Zelda: Breath of the Wild? Man, I get goosebumps just thinking about it. Splatoon 3 has those crazy catchy squid jams too – I won’t lie, they’re stuck in my head as I write this. You just type in a game, track, playlist, or even browse random screenshots like I did – because why not?
Anyway, this app’s library is ever-growing – like mushrooms in Mario. I swear there’s a list somewhere… Oh, wait. Here it is, broken down by consoles or something. Yeah, this will keep getting updated, constantly morphing as new soundtracks sneak in.
Nintendo Switch
Animal Crossing: New Horizons… Fire Emblem Engage… and – wait for it – Kirby stuff. All kinds, from "Forgotten Land" to "Star Allies".
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – rev up those engines – Metroid Prime Remastered, and Pikmin 4.
Pokémon – yep, from Legends: Arceus to Sword and Shield. Don’t forget Scarlet and Violet’s tunes, too.
Splatoon 2 and 3 – more squid music – and Mario bros. adventures galore. Odyssey, breathe deep with Zelda’s Breath of the Wild goodness, and a Skyward Sword journey.
Wii U
Mario Kart 8 – what’s old is new, right? And yes, Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Nintendo 3DS
Remember Luigi’s Mansion? Ghostbusters, eat your heart out. Plus, Mario Kart 7 and those StreetPass Mii Plaza melodies. Oddly catchy, those.
Wii
Now, Super Mario Galaxy just takes me places. Zelda’s Skyward Sword, that’s some epic stuff. Also – although why, I’ll never know – Wii Channels and Wii Sports. Yep, they’re there too.
Nintendo DS
Dr. Kawashima’s mental workout tunes, nintendogs (barking, anyone?), and Tomodachi Collection – sounds of sheer chaos.
Game Boy Advance
Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade – swords clashing, you feel that? – and Golden Sun, just shining brightly.
Nintendo 64
F-Zero X – speed freak dreams – Star Fox 64 (Lylat Wars), and mind-bending Super Mario 64. Oh, and Zelda’s Ocarina of Time. Wave Race 64 got thrown in too.
Super NES
Donkey Kong Country trilogy – bananas and more bananas – F-Zero, Super Mario Kart, World, and Yoshi’s Island.
Zelda: A Link to the Past – can’t beat classic.
Game Boy
Dr. Mario, battling those viruses in classic Game Boy glory. Kirby’s Dream Land and, of course, Tetris.
NES
Yet again, Dr. Mario – NES-style. Kid Icarus adventures, and Super Mario – every iteration you can think of. And Zelda madness, too – original and Famicom versions.
So, anyway, you get this wondrous app with Nintendo Switch Online. No extra cash needed, and they promise to keep adding more because, well, they know we can’t get enough. It’s like an endless playlist of nostalgia, I swear.
There you go, folks. Just a random dive into Nintendo’s sound garden. Curious, chaotic, and kinda awesome, right?
