Scottish game-developer NoCode just decided to shake things up and, poof, now it’s Screen Burn. So, here’s the deal: they had this cool backstory about making games without, well, any coding magic back in 2015. Yep, NoCode – the name pretty much gives it away, right? They’ve worked on some seriously cool stuff like Stories Untold and Observation. And now, they’re even in on the Silent Hill: Townfall gig with Konami. Big deal, huh?
They spilled the beans on their website, saying something like, “Hey, we’ve got a bunch of coders now who are, like, super important. Our name? Yeah, not cutting it anymore. Among other million reasons.” Oh, and remember when "no-code" wasn’t everywhere? Yeah, now their inbox is chaos central.
So, they sat down and thought, “Okay, if we aren’t that anymore, what on earth are we?” Answer? Apparently, they’re all about old-school vibes. Think analogue TVs and 3.5" floppy disks. (Remember those? No? Just me?) They’re about making games that stick, with that burn-in-your-mind kind of nostalgia. Like when the old arcade screen screws itself up forever. Somehow comforting, right?
