Donald, well, I guess he’s had enough. Steam on his PC is history. Just… gone. It’s like the aftermath of those massive game showcases, right? I mean, the day after Summer Game Fest is a bit of a whirlwind—so this year, or maybe it’s next, two new shows pop in, and bam, we’re talking six crazy hours of game reveals. That’s like binge-watching a new series, kinda.
So, here’s a quick (kind of) run-down. We got Switch 1 and 2 stuff—no other consoles, just pure Switch love. Unless I missed something, they only slapped on a Switch logo, except otherwise noted.
### Wholesome Direct
Ah, where do we start? Two games snuck in there: Instants, where you’re like scrapbooking or something, and Squeakross: Home Squeak Home—it’s a puzzle thing about furniture. July 10, you’re gonna see Everdeep Aurora with a kitten on a drilling adventure. And Islanders: New Shores, not sure what that’s about, but islands sound chill.
Monument Valley III—yeah, remember that from way back in March? It’s dropping July 25. Then, Tales of the Shire hits on the 29th, maybe, if they don’t delay again. You’re a farming hobbit, just living the dream.
Plus, Discounty is like a potentially dystopian shop sim hitting August 21. That’s a vibe, huh? Oh, and Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar goes cross-platform on August 27. Might be cool—or not. Who knows.
Also coming in August is this puzzler, Is This Seat Taken? It’s about seating people. Sounds… interesting, I guess. Little Kitty, Big City—there’s a big update flying in for summer. New cats, I think? Like, more cats can’t hurt.
XSEED’s bringing Milano’s Odd Job Collection west for the first time in 2025. Not sure if anyone asked, but here we are. Winter Burrow? Also 2025. Woodland survival, maybe? It sounds chilly. And The Guardian of Nature, a puzzler—we know it’s for Switch, but no date. First episode’s out on Steam now.
### Women Led Games Showcase
June 12, watch out for Re:Fresh. It’s like building cities and walking. And Wander Stars hits August 1, it’s anime-type RPG madness. It’s all episodic, words creating attacks—gotta see that trailer from the Latin American thing.
There’s Spilled—oil cleanup game—Switch bound soon. Came from PC, like many do. Perfect Tides: Station to Station? January next year, it’s like an early ‘90s vibe.
2026 promises Tavern Tale Stories: Dreamwalker and Out and About. It’s taverns and foraging, respectively. Woodo? No clue when, but it’s all about childhood in a wooden diorama. Makes you wonder, yeah?
### Latin American Games Showcase
Chunky Jump lands between July and September—a horror platformer type thing. Shadow Sacrements, another horror deal, more violent, is Q4. Lots of scary jumping, I guess.
Spring sees The Requiem of Shadows do its Zelda-inspired action. As for Q4 2026, adventure game Bogdan’s Cross and Taios’ Journey—anime-style, side-scrolling action are the talk.
And The Shadow Syndicate, a noir thing, non-violent or violent detective work—next year. Castlebound and Changer Seven? No dates, but there are henshin heroes. Intriguing, huh?
### Southeast Asian Games Showcase
Giga Bash has new DLC, hop on that now. More “coming soon” with Upin and Ipin Universe—twin toddler chaos. June 26 drops Cat Quest III’s “Tavern Tales” update and Until Then gets fully released. Another update’s promised for Until Then, by year’s end.
Sedup! A Culinary Adventure slices into Q4 with cooking-themed antics. A new Coffee Talk Tokyo trailer teased 2026. Things are brewing.
### Future Games Show
Despite some tech hiccups—How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine swims out June 26. It’s like a two-player escape game, one console, one smart device. Fun concept—or maybe not?
Okay, Switch 2 exclusive alert! Call of the Elder Gods brings horror puzzle vibes soon. Voices by Yuri “Spoiled Persona 4” Lowenthal. Intrigued yet?
Action RPG Lost Eidolons, Call of the Witch is also “coming soon”. September bags you Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile. Then, Constance, a side-scroller, preps for Switch 1 and 2 next year. Formula Legends, open-wheel racing all dramatic, but no dates given.
### Australia / New Zealand Showcase (aka “Frosty Games Fest”)
July 22 has Misc: A Tiny Tale, with a robot, in this sorta post-human scene. Intriguing? Oh, speaking of tiny things, Microvania, with big Metroid energy, joins Switch late 2025.
And yeah, Microsoft and the long-winded PC Gaming Show might have more tomorrow. Hang in there.
