Whoa, okay, so get this: I’m down the rabbit hole with this wild mash-up—KPop Demon Hunters meets Star Wars? Yeah, bonkers, right? If you’d told past-me this was gonna be a thing, I’d have laughed you off. Like seriously, what’s Cal Kestis doing rocking out with Rumi and Zoey from HUNTR/X?
Turns out, it’s all about style and kicking butt. Who knew?
AnimatedJen put together this video that… well, if you need a jolt in the morning, this is it. Like rocket fuel for your day. The soundtrack? “How It’s Done” from HUNTR/X. Perfect, right? Cal teams up with Bode Akuna and Merrin—Empire goons don’t stand a chance. Crashing planes? Nah. But those moves? Wow.
Bode’s like, “More? You want more?” And bam, Cal’s booting a shoretrooper while Bode jets in with a punch. Merrin twirls that staff—whoa, I was buzzing, and there’s still a whole minute left.
I’m hooked on AnimatedJen’s stuff. Seriously, it’s like, here’s an alternate universe where Cal’s an Inquisitor? Sign. Me. Up. Star Wars fans spin their own yarns—reminds me why it’s the best fandom ever. Canon? Who cares about canon? Cal, Merrin, and yeesh, Bode, jamming to K-Pop and thrashing stormtroopers? Makes total sense in my brain.
I’m dubbing them MANT/S now. Cere Junda as their manager? Somebody needs to write this on AO3, pronto. Modders, those outfits—gotta happen.
I’ll be replaying Jedi: Fallen Order blasting “Takedown” while I give those Imperial guys a hair chop. See ya there.
