Hey, so there’s this VR Games Showcase thing happening again, right? Summer 2025, can you believe it? It’s like, we’re in the future but it’s still just video games. Anyway, it’s supposed to be a big deal with loads of XR game stuff they’re gonna unveil.
Mark your calendar or whatever — August 12th, at 8:40 in the morning, Pacific Time. Honestly, not sure why they love the early start but okay. Before they dive into the main show, there’s this quirky ‘XR Indies & Friends’ thing. Sounds like a group chat, right? Then the main spectacle kicks off at 9:00 AM.
The big shots say they’ll spill the beans on a bunch of eagerly awaited games that work with Quest, PSVR 2, and PC VR headsets. Pretty cool, I guess.
They’re hyping it up this time, promising their “strongest lineup yet.” Like, no pressure or anything. They’ve got big updates lined up for titles like Forefront from Triangle Factory, this game called Reach by nDreams Elevation, and something fresh from Flat2VR. Those guys always have something wild cooking.
And oh, Polyarc’s dropping something juicy with their Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss. It’s a spin-off of Moss, and if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, maybe we’re just different kinds of weird.
The pre-show, a little 20-minute taste of ‘XR Indies & Friends,’ is pitched to showcase “the best and brightest” in indie projects. Again, sounds promising, but you never know with these things. Could be mind-blowing or just… meh.
Anyway — or wait, where was I? Right. So here’s the scoop: Glassbreakers is, like, a real-time action strategy thing now. Multiplayer style. Forefront, if you haven’t heard, is shaping up to be a pretty hyped multiplayer shooter.
And then there’s Reach from nDreams Elevation. Apparently, it’s one of this year’s big VR games. They’re giving us another trailer, probably to make our jaws drop. And Flat2VR Studios? They’re planning to reveal a new initiative, whatever that means.
So yeah, that’s the gist. But if you’re into this stuff, you’ll probably want to check out the livestream on August 12th at 8:40 AM PT / 11:40 AM ET. Catch it on YouTube or TikTok and see if it’s all it’s cracked up to be.
