Sure, here it goes:

Ah, man, so this guy Jensen Huang, you know, the big shot CEO of Nvidia, he’s out there again singing praises about this processor thingy they’ve crammed into the Nintendo Switch 2. That’s a mouthful already, right? But hey, it’s supposed to be launching June 5, and he’s saying it’s like holding magic—performance, smarts, and all that shiny stuff right in your sweaty palms. Sure, okay.
So, there’s this special Nintendo show — “Creator’s Voice” or something. Kinda rare for them. They usually keep the specs stuff hush-hush, but here they are just blabbing about it to whoever’s listening. Weird, huh?
Anyway, there’s this video they made, looks kinda fancy. Typical YouTube thing with thumbnails and everything, but back to the chip! Huang’s all about it having mind-blowing graphics, ray-tracing (whatever that is… sounds like sci-fi), and even fancy lighting effects. Oh, and surprise surprise, it’s backward compatible. And here I thought backward compatibility went out with flip phones. Who knew?
And, oh boy—DLSS! It’s got that thing too. He didn’t even give us all the details in the blog post. Just something about RT cores—yeah, I’m not nerdy enough to crack that jargon. But get this, the performance? Some crazy “10x the graphics” of the old Switch. Ten times, folks! Who needs that? Also, apparently the chip has little brains just for making your game look prettier.
And then the specs got dumped online by Digital Foundry. Eight Cortex A78C cores, blah blah, old Nvidia Ampere GPU, and techy stuff like LPDDR5X memory modules (12GB in all). Pretty numbers, right? It’s like they don’t wanna use real words!
Can’t forget the storage though. 256GB standard, plus a microSD Express slot for… what was it? Oh yeah, 2TB. Wowzers!
Little off-topic here, but a lot of the discussion tiptoes around this fellow, Satoru Iwata. He was Nintendo’s head honcho during the Switch’s birth, but sadly, he never saw it hit the shelves. Kinda touching, actually.
Anyway, Switch 2 will set you back about $449.99—or $499.99 if matched with Mario Kart World. Pre-orders vanished like free coffee, but if you’re lucky, a store might have one lying around at launch. Fingers crossed!
Oh yeah, they want you to follow Tom’s Hardware on Google News too. You know, for the latest techy dribble in your newsfeed. They seem pretty hyped, so why not?
And that’s that… or something.
