Are you eager to dive into Dune Awakening but tired of waiting? Luckily, your patience is about to pay off. A free open beta weekend is just around the corner, running from May 9 to May 12.
To join in, you’ll need to add the game to your wishlist by May 9 for a shot at playing, or snag one of the many beta codes the team will be distributing throughout the weekend. It’s open access but with a bit of luck required—a sort of semi-open invitation.
Interestingly, this beta lands just a few days before the initial release date of May 15. The launch was delayed as Funcom took extra time to ensure the game is in perfect shape.
During the beta, you can explore the first two regions, offering about 20 hours of gameplay if you dive deep. You’ll have the chance to check out several Research Facilities, experiment with early abilities across different classes, and engage in some PvP at ship crash sites. It’s a solid sneak peek at what’s to come. If you’re curious about our thoughts, we’ve released a new preview today that dives into this segment of the game.
Feeling excited for the open beta? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
