Okay, here we go. So, I stumbled across this game news — kinda caught my eye, but then again, I’m a sucker for space stuff. Survios, this game company, is doing a bit of a remix or something with Alien: Rogue Incursion. It’s like when bands release an unplugged version of a hit song, ya know? This time it’s a thing called ‘Evolved Edition’ and it’s making its way to PC and PS5.
Now, this game first dropped on VR. If you had one of those fancy PSVR 2 headsets or a PC VR thing, you might’ve already tangled with some Xenomorphs last year. Oh, and it came out on Quest 3 too, but that was 2025, so mark your calendars backward if you’re time-traveling or something.
The original — gotta be real — didn’t set the world on fire. The reviewers were like “meh” until some patches came in. They tweaked the alien baddies to shake things up a bit. Less like a broken record, more like jazz maybe? Anyway, Survios is now all “Hey, let’s give the non-VR folks a piece of this” and here we are. September 30th, 2025, boom, there you go.
The vibe is all cloak-and-dagger with Zula Hendricks, who’s kinda like a disgruntled ex-Marine. She’s on a mission to blow the whistle on Weyland-Yutani’s shady stuff. You and your robot buddy, Davis 01, head to this wild planet called Purdan. Sneaky-sneaky and pew-pew ensue. That’s what I’m guessing, anyway.
This game thing? It’s like a two-parter. Remember when Survios hinted at a sequel? Yeah, got more aliens, bigger muscles, harder levels in store — sounds like a gamer’s gym workout! But the big question is, are they gonna keep us hanging with two separate releases, or mash it all together in a big, gaming jamboree? Stay tuned, I guess.
Oh, and fun fact — this ain’t their first rodeo converting VR into non-VR. Remember Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions? Yeah, me neither, until now. It was their VR boxing gig gone arcade brawl. Maybe they’ve got a knack for this adaptation thing. Or maybe not. Who knows, right?
