Did you manage to snag a pre-order for the Nintendo Switch 2 last night or this morning? If so, you’re in luck! Sonic will officially join the line-up on launch day. SEGA has just revealed that “SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS” is hitting the shelves on June 5th.
Sonic isn’t the only big name making an appearance. You’ll also see “Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut” and “Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S” as part of the Switch 2’s launch-day roster. Both physical and digital pre-orders for these games are now live.
“SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS” offers a fresh twist, letting you step into Shadow’s shoes in an all-new story campaign. You’ll get to experience innovative abilities showcasing Shadow as the Ultimate Life Form. Plus, enjoy a fully remastered version of the beloved “Sonic Generations.” This adventure features the best of Sonic’s 3D and 2D worlds with enhanced graphics and new bonus content.
For puzzle fans, “Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S” brings the heat with its “Puyo Tetris Doubles” mode. Dive into thrilling 2v2 battles on a shared board, unleashing powerful combos. The game is packed with a variety of local and online modes, supporting up to four players, and includes a roster of 40 characters, like Sonic the Hedgehog, each with unique stats and abilities.
Meanwhile, “Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut” presents the ultimate version of the iconic origin story from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Yakuza series, tailored for the Nintendo Switch 2. This edition introduces new, exclusive story scenes and an all-new “Red Light Raid” online multiplayer mode. Team up with friends to battle through waves of enemies, and enjoy the addition of English and Chinese voice-overs along with subtitles in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese.
You can also pre-order “RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army,” which is set for release on June 19. Plus, keep an eye out for “Two Point Museum” joining the lineup later this year.
